The workshop will explain semantic interoperability: what it is and why it matters, including success stories and the relationship to digital twins and data sharing via dataspaces. We will discuss best practices for use of design patterns, encouraging reuse not reinvention, as well as metrics in relation to evaluating the maturity of vocabularies, taxonomies and ontologies, including well defined processes for revisions, governance and community feedback.
