The Summit is a flagship event for digital leaders and convening public and private sector decision-makers to accelerate the use and uptake of digital innovations that benefit society and achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. ​

The DWP Global Summit 2022 was monumental in establishing a renewed commitment to enacting a positive change in the world. The participants and the speakers alike inspired us to act with purpose and a new sense of urgency in mind. For the DWP Global Summit 2023, we have an impressive lineup of interesting topics, exciting speakers, and committed actions for you.

We are excited to announce that, as part of the 2nd edition of the Digital with Purpose Global Summit, the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) and the Digital with Purpose (DWP) Movement will organize the Digital with Purpose Global Award.

The Digital with Purpose Global Award aims to highlight and celebrate digital solutions that address human needs, decrease poverty, increase inclusivity, and protect nature, as in line with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda (SDGs) and the Half-Earth concept. Digital with Purpose is looking for a winning solution that will contribute to a better world where 10 billion people can live and flourish.
To participate, companies must submit a digital solution which, for the purposes of this competition, will be defined as a digital application that:

·     Contributes to at least one of the SDGs
·     Is deployed in the marketplace
·     Provides a specific, not generic, solution
·     Is resource and cost-efficient

We are honored to have the Wuppertal Institute lend its expertise and serve as the official jury for the competition, ensuring fairness and impartiality.
The Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, and Energy is a prominent research organization based in Wuppertal, Germany. It focuses on sustainability, resource efficiency, and climate issues, conducting interdisciplinary research and providing policy advice and solutions in these areas. The institute is well-known for its contributions to sustainability science and its efforts to promote a more sustainable future.
They will review all entries and select the top five solutions which will be submitted to the Summit’s High-Level Advisory Council. The recipient of the Digital with Purpose Global Award will be then determined by the HLAC and will represent the digital solution that has excelled across all aspects of the Award’s expectations.
