AIOTI’s Thomas Walloschke spoke at the EIF event The impact of Internet of Things on European industries on 24 April
Thomas Walloschke, Steering Board Member of AIOTI and the Chair of the Working Group 11 on Manufacturing spoke at the European Internet Forum’s event on “The Impact of Internet of Things on European Industries” today, 24 April at the European Parliament.
Europe, with its high-quality manufacturing industry, can and should be the world leader in incorporating digitalisation into product design, production processes, management and administration, logistics and other operations. And indeed, “Digitising European Industry” is a key initiative of the European Union. This lunch debate discussed experts’ views on the successes and challenges the Union faces in bringing digitalisation to Europe’s traditional manufacturing industries, including in particular the small and medium-sized enterprises that are the backbone of our manufacturing sector.
