SCODIHNet Updates
The Smart Connectivity DIH Network has mainly worked on the following topics:
The Certify project having the objective to develop a novel framework to manage security throughout the lifecycle of the IoT device, to put in place a Certification & security evaluation, to Enhance open hardware security, to Secure integration of IoT devices has organised a workshop on the 10th June. SCoDIHNet has been invited to a round table in order to explain the role of DIH in the cybersecurity journey with end users.
The SEADE project Summit 2025 has been co-organised with the European Business and Innovation Network in Bilbao, it had the objective to facilitate cooperation with African Countries. SCoDIHNet has been invited to participate to a panel with regards to the actions made to push collaboration between members and African DIHs.
The call for the Digital Transformation Accelerator Phase II has been closed on the 17th June, several proposals have been submitted, results should be available end of the year. The objective of the DTA is the provisioning of services to the European Commission which will benefit the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) and other stakeholders. The subject of this call for tenders is the second stage of the Digital Transformation Accelerator (DTA) for the network of EDIHs. Now that the network of EDIHs has been established and launched, it will support the full deployment of an effective and efficient network of EDIHs, with the core objective to accelerate the digitalization and the uptake of Artificial Intelligence by European companies and public administration and to serve as a one-stop shop, enabling organizations to access various elements of the European Artificial Intelligence ecosystem based on their specific needs.

DELIVERABLES
AIOTI response to Apply AI Strategy
AIOTI submitted the response to the public consultation on Apply AI Strategy.
This initiative aims to boost new industrial uses of AI and improve the delivery of public services, fostering innovation and competitiveness.
The strategy aims to create an enabling environment that accelerates progress in AI and its adoption, drives investment and innovation, boosts productivity, while leveraging trustworthy AI. It will serve as a blueprint for the full adoption of AI in EU strategic sectors, leading to the strengthening of the AI continent.
AIOTI Response to the consultation on Cybersecurity Act (CA)
AIOTI submitted a response to the consultation on Cybersecurity Act (CA)
One of the key tasks of the Cybersecurity Act (CA) is to create the European Cybersecurity Certification Framework – ECCF.
In this context, we agree that the Cybersecurity Certification should be based on technical standards, which can be measurable and assessable with measurable and EU Member States aligned cybersecurity criteria.
The Cybersecurity Certification driven by non-technical risk factors is not based on technical standards and therefore, is not assessable with measurable and EU Member States aligned cybersecurity criteria. In this regard, we propose not to include the non-technical Cybersecurity Certification requirements in the CSA revision.
Report for AIOTI Workshop on Semantic Interoperability for Digital Twins
This report is the result of the AIOTI workshop on Semantic Interoperability held on 5-6 February 2025, hosted by ERCIM in Sophia Antipolis, France. With support from INRIA, and the Nephele and SmartEdge projects, funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe programme
Which was aimed at advancing the field of semantic interoperability and laying the groundwork for the next generation of information systems, with an emphasis on practical solutions for real-world.
The workshop focused on solutions for industry along with encouraging greater take-up of semantic technologies, including controlled vocabularies, taxonomies, and ontologies. Semantic interoperability is essential for supply chains as well as for repairs and recycling in relation to the plans for the circular economy as part of the EU’s Green Deal.

Joint Stand.ICT/AIOTI Report of TWG IoT & Edge: Landscape of Internet of Things Standards V.2
The goal of this report is to capture the landscape of IoT activities and IoT documents/specifications published and/or under publication by SDOs, Alliances and OSS Initiatives.
In order to realise this goal, this report has used the methodology and process defined by EUOS StandICT.eu in the “Landscape of AI Standards” report of the TWG AI (Technical Working Group of Artificial Intelligence). In particular, representatives from several SDOs, Alliances, OSS Initiatives and academic institutions have created an open-access database of IoT related specifications and documents, such as architectures, requirements, technical reports, reviews, white papers, guidelines, etc. in a way that encourages future extensions, re-use, cross-comparisons and re-classification according to various needs. Applying the EUOS StandICT.eu aforementioned methodology and process, the EUOS StandICT.eu TWG IoT and Edge and AIOTI (Alliance for AI, IoT and Edge Continuum Innovation) WG Standardisation team members, who collated this report, made the collected disparate outcomes from across the global community, readable and accessible, and at the same time provided the possibility to make dynamic extensions of these collected outcomes in the future.
This is version 2 of the report and it updates the IoT landscape presented in version 1 of the report “Landscape of Internet of Things (IoT) Standards”, published on 13 October 2022, by including new specifications and updating information on specifications included in version 1 of this report. The updated documents, e.g., specifications are labelled in this version, using the keyword “Updated” In their titles, while the new documents, e.g., specifications are labelled in this version, using the keyword “NEW” In their titles.

Smart connectivity testbeds use by DIHs
AIOTI WG Testing and Experimentation Facilities published the paper “Smart connectivity testbeds use by DIHs“.
The paper has the objective to help the Smart Connectivity Digital Innovation Hub Network members to find experimental facilities closed to their location in order to develop and experiment innovative use cases for end users.
A number of European funded projects have put in place experimental facilities all over Europe with the most advanced digital technologies, it is an opportunity for DIH to use them and to push the digitalisation of the European Industry.
However, each experimental platforms are managed by organisations that could have specific policies with regards to access modalities. It will be up to DIH to deal this when choosing the experimental facilities.
Experimental facilities are also addressing verticals with specificities, DIH will also have to check this specialisation with regards to the use cases that there are willing to develop.
