IOT week, 4-7 June, Bilbao

With about 180 sessions and activities, IoT week In Bilbao, 4 -7 June, gathered over 850 experts actively engaged in the Internet of Things domain, with over 265 speakers. AIOTI support was highlighted as one of the key factor of success. AIOTI active contributions to the program have been relevant to strengthen the position of the IoT Week as a global conference attracting experts in IoT technology from all over the world: the place where the future of IoT is discussed and crafted. From opening to closing ceremony, AIOTI representatives were present and leading stream on trust and innovation ecosystems, contributing to standardisation, smart cities, healthy environment and energy streams as well. Next IoT week will be held in June 2019 in Aarhus, Denmark.

AIOTI General Assembly, 8 June, Bilbao

AIOTI held its annual general assembly on 8 June in Bilbao, Spain. About 60 members were present. Besides mandatory reporting from the Management Board on overall progress of the association and the Steering Board on activities in the working groups, new AIOTI brand was unveiled and communications and development strategy presented, as well as results of first ever conducted members survey.

All members are invited to provide inputs to the communications and development strategy that should help steer the association in period until 2021.



SynchroniCity Open Call, 12 June

OASC and Synchronicity organised on 12 June a introductory webinar on the SynchroniCity 3M€ Open Call which was launched on 1st June. The Open Call is an opportunity for SMEs, cities and large businesses to apply for funding and pilot IoT and IoT enabled solutions in Europe and beyond. Further webinars wil follow in July and August. The call is closed on 30 September.

SME News

DunavNet recently did a deployment of NB-IoT based air quality monitoring and smart vineyard solutions in Montenegro, in collaboration with Telekom Montenegro (a part of T-Mobile group). Also, in the context of H2020 TagItSmart project, pilots were made in retail (cold supply chain monitoring with dynamic pricing) and wine industry (preventing counterfeiting).
