AIOTI presented its multi-annual work on the Smart Monitoring System in a Windfarm AIOTI Driven Use Case that applies rev. ITU-T L.1480 Methodology for GHG Reduction Measurements, which was developed in collaboration with Orange and Fraunhofer IIS.
SCODIHNet Updates
SCoDIHNet has been invited to present the ongoing activities to the European Enterprise Network Digital group on 13 March. Participants are very interested in participating in the Technology provider catalogue and providing replicable use cases.
SCoDIHNet’s bi-monthly meeting took place on 11 March with a presentation of the Smart Connectivity Thematic group (Digital Transformation Accelerator), which is working on similar aspects as SCoDIHNet, targeting EDIHs. A proposal with the objective of working closer together is under discussion.
The cooperation with the Horizon Result platform, Technfinders.io, and RAMP.eu showed many similarities between these initiatives on replicability. The plan is to work on the alignment of procedures to provide a single framework to bring a replicability level to use cases.
TEF Agrifood is proposing to present at the next SCoDIHNet meeting, which is planned for 13 May. The idea is to show how DIHs could access the testing facilities. Matters.eu (Manufacturing TEF) has also been invited to make a presentation at the next SCoDIHNet meeting in July.
A white paper has been initiated to provide a vision for Smart Connectivity experimental platforms and make some recommendations for making them more accessible.

EU – Canada alignment on digital credentials, identity and trust services |The road towards compatible and secure tools, Online Workshop
27 February 2025, Online Workshop.
Canada and the EU have been developing comprehensive strategies on digital identity management, digital credentials and trust services. Digital identification solutions can provide safe and efficient access to public and private services such as healthcare, finance, and e-government platforms. In this respect, human-centric digital identity and digital credentials are a priority area of cooperation. Canada and the EU should continue working towards the interoperability of their trust services, which are key enablers for public administrations, business transactions and e-commerce.
To further strengthen compatible solutions, this webinar seeks to promote bilateral cooperation, share best practices, and explore how regulatory provisions can be reinforced through the creation of harmonised standards under the Canada – European Union Digital Partnership.
The main goal of this Expert Workshop is to bring together representatives of different stakeholders from government, industry, academia, and other relevant institutions to identify and discuss relevant use cases and provide recommendations for a possible follow-up. Proposals for concrete actions shall be agreed upon to boost the cooperation in this important topic, reinforcing peer learning and sharing of knowledge

Robotics Deep Dive: Edge-Controlled Automation with Mobile Manipulation
Join an insightful webinar on Edge-Controlled Automation with Mobile Manipulation, where we explore the integration of edge computing, 5G connectivity, and mobile robots in modern manufacturing.
Date: 10 April 2025
Time: 14:00 – 15:30 CET
Register here: https://s.fhg.de/target-x-robotics
In this session, we will dive into a real-world use case that demonstrates how edge computing and 5G technology enable real-time control of mobile manipulators for efficient (dis)assembly processes. By offloading computationally demanding tasks—such as SLAM-based localization, path and motion planning, and AI-driven object perception—to an edge server, the system significantly improves efficiency while reducing the processing load on onboard systems.
With reliable, low-latency 5G communication, high-bandwidth sensor data, including 2D/3D LiDAR point clouds and camera streams, can be transmitted seamlessly, ensuring precise and responsive robot operations. This setup addresses the limitations of traditional wireless networks, empowering robots to perform complex tasks in dynamic and fast-paced production environments.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the results of a manufacturing use-case from the EU-funded project TARGET-X.
Your speaker is Lucas Manassés, Research Associate from the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen University and TARGET-X Work Package Leader.
We look forward to your participation!
