Mission and Vision:
Fostering innovation and enhance competitiveness in the manufacturing sector through the strategic implementation of these transformative technologies.
Scope:
This working group focuses on the exploration, adoption, and integration of cutting-edge technologies to drive the development of "smart factories" and "Factories of the Future." Our scope includes adoption on manufacturing sector of:
- Internet of Things (IoT): Implementing IoT solutions to enable real-time monitoring and control of manufacturing processes.
- Edge Computing: Utilizing edge computing to process data locally, enhancing response times and operational efficiency.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI): Leveraging AI to optimize production workflows, predict maintenance needs, and improve decision-making processes.
- Robotics: Incorporating advanced robotics to automate complex and repetitive tasks, improving precision and safety.
- Big Data Analytics: Harnessing Big Data to analyse extensive datasets for insights that drive innovation and operational improvements.
- Factories of the Future: Developing frameworks for next-generation factories that are resilient, adaptive, and digitally integrated.
- Digital Innovation Hubs: Collaborating with Digital Innovation Hubs to provide resources, training, and support for the successful adoption of these technologies.
