On 11 October 2024, AIOTI actively participated in the INSTAR Standards Roadmaps Webinar, which gathered over 60 participants from across Europe. The session focused on the latest developments in standards roadmaps, aiming to enhance alignment and collaboration across international standardization efforts.
During the event, Damir Filipovic, AIOTI Secretary General highlighted the importance of fostering stronger international ties, stating:
“The idea is to bring the European standardisation priorities identified by the pool of experts of each European Task Force and defined through the roadmaps, to our international partners, then discuss with them what could be the overlaps and complementarities with international priorities, and see how these can be brought forward to advance international standardisation organisations.”
This event marked a significant step towards reinforcing Europe’s role in shaping global standards, emphasizing collaboration.
Key takeaways:
– The eIDAS 2 regulation builds on previous frameworks and aims to simplify digital identity management with a user-friendly wallet.
