AIOTI Management Board roles and responsibilites
New AIOTI Management Board was elected at the General Assembly held on 21 June in Aarhus, Denmark, According to AIOTI statutes, the Management Board members agreed on the distribution of their roles and responsibilities:

  1. Juergen Sturm – chairman
  2. Klaus Beetz – secretary
  3. Irene Lopez de Vallejo – treasurer
  4. Tanya Suarez – responsible for communications and growth
  5. Bo Sejer Frandsen – responsible for SMEs and startups

Smart Networks and Services Partnership Stakeholder workshop, 4 July 2019, Brussels
AIOTI has actively contributed at the Smart Networks and Servies Partnership stakeholder workshop, providing IoT side of the future EU partnership.

Steering Board meeting, 5 July, Brussels
AIOTI Steering Board met on 5 July in Brussels. Main discussion was on EU partnership, SWOT analysis, follow-up on members proposals from the GA, AIOTI signature event program and AIOTI priorities document.

Starting from urban everyday life.
Workshop: Digital Energy Marketplaces, 17 September 2019, San Domenico di Fiesole, Italy. The event is continuation of discussions organised at the Open Energy Marketplaces on 8 March in Brussels as well as on Nuances of IoT Marketplaces sessions at the IoT Week in June in Aarhus. Event details
European Commission’s Research and Innovation Days, 24-26 September, Brussels, Belgium, European Research and Innovation Days is the first annual policy event of the European Commission, bringing together stakeholders to debate and shape the future research and innovation landscape. The European Big Data Value Forum is the flagship event of the European Big Data Value community, jointly organised by the Big Data Value Association, the European Commission and VTT and it will take place from 14 to 16 of October in Helsinki (Finland). The theme of this year’s edition is “Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Transforming Business and Society”. Event details
Consultation workshop on research priorities for the Next Generation of Internet of Things, Brussels, 16 October. The workshop should discuss novel IoT concepts and solutions to underpin the NGI vision and make provision for predicting future events, trigger actions and moving decisions to the point of interest in order to better serve the end-user. Participants should think of possible use cases with advanced needs in areas such as wearables, transportation, agriculture homes, health, energy, and manufacturing. The workshop should reflect on key elements for drafting a roadmap for next generation IoT, which is supported by the CSA NGIoT.
EDSO-ENCS-ENTSO-E Workshop on Cybersecurity: Defense in Depth, Brussels, 22 October. AIOTI will be the partner of the event and WG Smart Energy Chair Natalie Samovich will speak on the panel “Defense in depth: Are the digitalized power systems secure at every link of the energy chain?”
