HIGHLIGHTS
AIOTI Days 2025
AIOTI organised this year the annual event in Madrid, building upon six successful editions of the AIOTI Signature Event gatherings since 2019. At the core of AIOTI Days 2025 was the exploration of how the AI, continuum and virtual twins can support the development of modern urban living, including a human-centric approach, practical implementation and environmental aspects.
AIOTI Days 2025 featured the 7 Thematic and 8 Project sessions, the Scientific Conference GIECS with 14 presented papers, guaranteeing a rich and comprehensive experience for all of 104 participants.
The event presentations can be found here.
SCODIHNet Updates
The Smart Connectivity DIH Network has mainly worked on the following topics.
The update of the Replicability catalogue has been made in order to integrate the latest use cases developed and experimented by SNS JU Call 1 and Call 2 projects. Following the survey conducted begin of 2025 by the SNS CO-OP project, a number of new use cases have been identified and most of the projects used the Replicability assessment tool to provide the replicability level of each use cases.
Cooperation with the Smart Connectivity Thematic Working Group is still active, SCoDIHNet is invited to make a new presentation at the next meeting planned on the 10th September. First discussions to merge the 2 groups will start early in October to evaluate the interest of keeping 2 separate groups or to merge them.

EVENTS
Mioty: Made in Europe, for Europe – Enabling a Resilient IoT Ecosystem
The event “mioty: Made in Europe, for Europe – Enabling a Risilient European IoT Ecosystem” is taking place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 12:00 – 3:30 p.m., in Brussels.
As Europe seeks to enhance its strategic autonomy and reduce dependencies on non-European technologies — particularly in light of increasing geopolitical tensions and global supply chain vulnerabilities — the resilience of our digital and technological infrastructure is more critical than ever.
European Leaders in IoT are going to present real solutions for the need to strengthen Europe’s position across the entire Internet of Things (IoT) value chain, from sensor technologies and connectivity to data sovereignty and application platforms. In this context, mioty, a European-born low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) technology, stands out as a strategic enabler of secure, robust, and energy-efficient IoT communication.
Developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS and driven by the mioty alliance, this technology offers an open, standardized, and scalable alternative to proprietary systems dominated by actors from the US and China. It empowers Europe to build IoT ecosystems that are not only technologically sovereign, but also resilient, interoperable, and future-proof.

Nexus Forum 2025 Summit
The NexusForum2025 Summit is going to take place on 5-6 November 2025 at AREA42 in Brussels.
Following on the legacy of the NexusForum Summits 2023 and 2024, this year’s edition will be focusing on the topic “AI, Cloud & Sustainability for Europe’s Digital Sovereignty”.
In this event there will be an exploration on how these elements converge and how Europe can lead globally by aligning cutting-edge technology with long-term resilience and value-based governance. A high-level event gathering innovators, policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders shaping the future of Europe’s cloud, edge, and AI ecosystem is expected.
Who is interested can participate in the session where she/he could showcase her/his key exploitable results, along with key insights on best practices and lessons learnt.
In this scope, to participate it is necessary to fill out this form latest by 15th Sept. This is a 90-min session and spots are limited.
In addition, there is interest to know who would like to obtain a simple free booth during the Summit, or propose scientific posters that could be displayed in the common area to give visibility to researchers. Please use the form to indicate interest in this sense.
